Accurate transcription with speech to text AI

The Alrite app makes our teaching and research work much easier. For example, videos and films are playing an increasingly important role in education. Captioning them is an essential element that promotes full accessibility and with Alrite, it's a breeze. And in our interview research, transcribing interviews is made quick and easy, whether the interview is in Hungarian, English or German. The strength of the Alrite application compared to other applications is that the captions and transcriptions in Hungarian are also produced in high quality.

At the Research Documentation Centre of the Centre for Social Science Research, we maintain thousands of interviews, some of which are audio recordings. The material ranges from interviews recorded on audio cassette decades ago and later digitised to interviews recorded with the latest research tools. Alrite is a great help in creating the digital transcripts that are essential for archiving, not only transcribing conversations that can sometimes take several hours in a matter of seconds, but also being able to distinguish between the interview participants. Alrite is also a huge help in post-transcription verification, significantly reducing the length of the preparation process and effectively supporting our research and archiving work.

It helps us very, very much in our work! We produce descriptions of videos for deafblind people that tell you what the actors are saying and what you can see in the pictures. This way they can fully understand the content of the videos.

Our Office uses the program to record the minutes of the meetings of the Council of Representatives. We find it very useful, as it saves us a lot of time, and the uploaded text is quickly written within a few minutes.

With the help of Alrite, we have been able to significantly speed up some of the processes involved in creating e-learning materials.

To meet the requirement of the Higher Education Disability Council's recommendations on digital education - "It is important to provide Hungarian subtitles when considering digital education software" - the University of Miskolc acquired the Alrite speech recognition and transcription application in March 2021, which uses the latest deep learning algorithms and is available as a web and mobile application. The app can be used to improve the accessibility of education, providing an effective solution for students - especially those with hearing impairments - who need support in understanding or responding. Feedback from students has shown that Alrite is indeed a valuable aid for everyday learning.

I've tried a few AIs and Alrite was by far the best in both English and Spanish.
