Speaker-specific captioning and captions formatting – Groups feature
The Groups feature is transforming the way creators manage captions. Until now, captions typically appeared in a single, uniform style, forcing editors to manually separate and identify speakers, a slow and often frustrating task. With Groups, that changes entirely. This powerful new tool automatically organizes captions by speaker, streamlines collaboration, and dramatically speeds up post-production workflows. Whether you’re a video editor, content creator, or accessibility professional, Groups (within the burned-in captions brings clarity, structure, and efficiency to your captioning process
The Groups feature gives creators powerful new control over subtitle formatting. With Groups, you can:
- Format each speaker individually ensuring captions change style based on who is talking
- Assign unique caption styles to speakers and non-speech sounds, such as music, background noise, or sound effects.
- Improve clarity and viewer comprehension, especially in interviews, podcasts, meetings, and multi-speaker videos, thanks to speaker-specific captioning.
.Access the feature directly in the Burn-in Captions tab, available in the Alrite Premium and Professional plans designed for businesses.
Create your caption preset – fewer clicks, consistent appearance
The custom caption preset feature lets you save your preferred subtitle styles and instantly apply them to future videos with a single click. Once you’ve formatted your captions, simply select “Create Preset” and choose which settings to save.
In your next project, you can reuse the same caption style instantly, no need to reformat every time.
This streamlined workflow not only speeds up AI captioning but also guarantees a consistent, professional look across all your videos, making it especially valuable for creators managing multiple series or channels.
Voice Profiles: Accurate speaker recognition using your voice samples
Voice recognition based on voice samples is one of Alrite’s most powerful new features. By creating a unique voice profile from one or more audio samples, the system can automatically identify and name speakers in future transcripts eliminating the need for manual speaker labeling. This not only improves accuracy but also significantly speeds up both transcription and captioning.
Voice profiles are especially valuable for those working with meetings, podcasts, interviews, and recurring speakers. Instead of manually tagging speakers in every audio or video file, Alrite automatically applies the correct speaker names, resulting in cleaner, more organized transcripts and a faster post-production workflow.
Creating a voice profile requires as little as 10 seconds of audio, and you can add more samples anytime to further enhance recognition accuracy.
This feature is available in the Prime, Premium, and Professional business plans.
