Despite the summer heat, several important updates arrived by the end of July at Alrite. Depending on their subscription plan, Alrite users can now access up to three new features designed to significantly improve efficiency in international projects, live events and corporate teamwork.
One of these new features enables the automatic processing of multilingual audio and video files. Another introduces real-time translation for Alrite’s popular live captioning feature. In addition, business accounts can now take advantage of dedicated time allowance management.
All three developments were created with the same goal: to make workflows simpler and more productive for Alrite users.
Processing multilingual audio and video files
Alrite has long supported automatic transcription and captioning in a wide range of languages. Until now, however, processing relied on single-language models. This meant that the system could accurately process speech only in the language selected before transcription.
The new Multilanguage model removes this limitation. For supported languages, it can recognize and process multiple languages within the same audio or video file, eliminating the need to split multilingual recordings into separate sections.
This can be especially useful when processing:
- international meetings,
- multilingual conferences,
- interviews and podcasts,
- or videos in which participants naturally switch between languages.
The system automatically detects supported languages, so they do not need to be selected manually before processing.
The multilingual model currently relies on the infrastructure of an external service provider. As a result, audio or video files processed with this model are transferred to the relevant provider in accordance with the Alrite Privacy Policy.
Where a recording also contains a language that is not supported, transcription accuracy may be lower for that section, or the system may not generate a transcript for it.

Real-time translation for live captions
Live captioning has already become one of Alrite’s important and popular features. With our latest development, the system can now do more than display captions in the original spoken language: it can also translate them in real time.
This is particularly useful when participants who speak different languages are following a presentation, webinar or online event.
The feature can be used in two ways:
- Processing a direct audio source: speech received through a microphone or audio played on the device is processed in real time.
- Processing online live streams: users simply provide the URL of the live video, and Alrite generates the transcript and its translation in real time.
Generated captions can be shared easily with participants through either a fixed link or a randomly generated single-use link. The translation process is also performed with the help of an external service provider, which means that the audio from the live stream is transferred for processing and translation.
When starting a live session, users can choose between Rápido and Balanced processing modes. Balanced mode introduces a delay of a few additional seconds but may provide more accurate translations and require fewer subsequent text corrections, particularly when processing more complex sentence structures.
It is also worth noting that when a live session is started, the system initially reserves one minute from the available time allowance. Final usage, however, continues to be calculated on a per-second basis.

Dedicated time allowances for business accounts
Another important new feature for business users is the ability to assign dedicated time allowances to individual users.
Previously, all invited users worked from the same shared time balance. For larger teams, this could make planning more difficult, as the available processing time had to be managed collectively by all users. Even simple oversight could result in one user consuming time that another team member was expected to use.
Administrators can now define exactly how much processing time should be allocated to each user. The system provides predefined amounts, while custom values can also be assigned. Users who receive a dedicated time allowance can only use the amount reserved for them, while administrators retain control over the unallocated balance of the business account. The interface clearly shows the time assigned to each user, the amount already used, and the remaining unallocated balance of the business account.
This provides greater transparency and more predictable resource management, especially for organizations where several team members use Alrite simultaneously.
Designed for professional workflows
These latest developments are primarily aimed at users who regularly work with international content, live events, or larger corporate teams. Multilingual processing makes mixed-language recordings easier to handle. Real-time translation opens up new possibilities for international events, while dedicated time allowances make the use of company resources more predictable and easier to manage.
The aim of all three features is to make professional transcription and captioning workflows faster, simpler and more reliable. For this reason, all three features are available to Professional plan subscribers. Dedicated time allowance management, however, is not limited to the Professional plan and can be used with any Alrite business account. The Multilanguage model is available with every subscription plan except Starter.
