I. Key Information and Practical Terms for Using the Alrite Application

Technical and functional requirements:

File upload extensions supported by the application: .wav, .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, .mp4, .webm, .mov, .opus, .wmv, .wma and .mkv.
Online video platforms supported by the application: YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Dailymotion
The size of any audio file uploaded and processed for transcription and captioning using the application must not exceed 1 GB per file.
By default, the size of any video files uploaded and processed for transcription and captioning using the application must not exceed 1 GB per file. However, in the Plus, Premium, and Professional subscription packages, the maximum video file size is increased to 4 GB.
Audio can be recorded directly through the browser in the application’s Record menu. However, as browsers may not be the most reliable method for recording, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss that may occur. We recommend using alternative voice recording tools and uploading the recorded files via the Upload menu for transcription and captioning.
Audio recordings made directly within the application must be at least 3 seconds long to be eligible for text conversion.
Audio recordings made directly within the app, as well as publicly available online videos from supported platforms, must not exceed 3 hours in length to be eligible for text conversion.
The video captioning feature in the free Starter package, as well as in the Lite and Prime subscriptions, will only generate time-coded captions for the first 2 minutes of the audio or video material processed, intended for testing purposes and to provide a demonstration of the feature.
The Lite and Prime subscription packages offer fewer translation languages compared to the higher-level Plus, Premium, and Professional packages.
Summarization and keyword generation are available only in the Plus, Prime, Premium, and Professional subscription packages.
Transcript downloads with timestamps are available only with a business subscription, specifically with a Prime, Premium, or Professional package.
Speaker diarization is available only for files processed under a business subscription, specifically in the Prime, Premium, or Professional packages.
Real-time transcription and captioning of live broadcasts can only be initiated with a business Professional package.
Real-time transcription and captioning, available only with a Professional package, is accounted for on a per-minute basis rather than the usual post-processing method of per second, with any partial minutes rounded up.

Purpose of the Application: The Alrite application is designed to transcribe and caption audio or video materials you upload, converting them into either a simple text file or a timestamped version. Please note that the accuracy and quality of the transcription and captioning are significantly influenced by the quality of the audio in the file, the recording conditions (e.g., background noise), and the clarity and intelligibility of the speech (e.g., articulation and speaker volume), among other factors.

Accuracy Disclaimer: Régens Zrt., as the service provider, strives to ensure the highest possible accuracy in transcribing and captioning uploaded materials. However, the provider is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from potential errors, service interruptions, or termination. The user assumes full responsibility for using the application.

Intellectual Property: The Alrite application is the intellectual property of Régens Zrt. Users may access the application after agreeing to the terms of use.

User Responsibility for Content: By accepting the terms of use, the user agrees to upload only audio or video material they legally own, and only if the content or the resulting transcription and captions do not violate the personal or intellectual property rights of others. The user bears full responsibility for the content, the circumstances of its creation, and the transcription and captions derived from it.

File Storage: Uploaded audio and video files, along with their related text files, will be stored for the following durations based on the package under which they were processed, regardless of any subsequent changes to the user’s subscription:

Starter package: up to 7 days
Lite package: up to 1 month
Plus and Prime packages: up to 6 months
Premium and Professional packages: up to 1 year
Please note that transcripts generated using the real-time transcription and captioning feature, available only with a Professional package, are stored for a guaranteed period of 30 days, which is shorter than the default 1-year storage period offered under this package.

Unless the user opts to delete any or all files earlier, these storage periods apply.

Once deleted, files are permanently removed and cannot be restored in either the Alrite system or the application database.

Proper Use: Users must adhere to the intended purpose of the application. Régens Zrt. reserves the right to deny access to those who misuse the application, particularly in cases of abuse of the free version or actions that impair or disrupt the service. In the event of a violation, Régens Zrt. may cancel the user’s registration without prior notice or ban the associated IP address.

II. Special Terms of Use for Users of the Alrite Application’s Starter Package

A natural person is entitled to request free trial access using only one email address. The registered email will be recorded for future services, so multiple subscriptions or accounts cannot be created with the same email address.
The Starter account is free of charge.
Upon registration, the Starter account provides users with a 30-minute time credit to explore and test the application’s features. This credit is renewed monthly on the 1st day of each month.
The translation feature is not included in the Starter package.
The Starter account is available for one year following registration (or upon the expiration of a previous subscription). After this period, the user’s account will be automatically deleted.

III. Special Terms of Use for Subscribers of the Alrite Application

Any previously purchased time credit must be used within one year from the date of the last purchase.

The length of the audio or video material to be transcribed and captioned must not exceed the total amount of time credit currently available to the user. If the time credit balance is less than the length of the material, the application will only process the audio or video material up to the available time credit, not in its entirety. Before starting the processing, please ensure that the length of the material does not exceed your balance.

Please note clause 7.2 of the General Terms and Conditions, which states that for a package ordered for a specific period and number of transcription and captioning tasks, the service fee credited to the company’s bank account is due even if the customer has not fully utilized these services. Therefore, no refund can be claimed for any unused capacity.
